A true cult classic, Supernatural is not very well known in the UK but one hell of a good show. It follows the Winchester boys, ‘hunters’ who criss-cross America investigating and combating paranormal events. It’s sort of a mash-up between Buffy the Vampire Slayer and The X-Files all wrapped up in a classic road movie. Worth looking out for next time your scouring the schedules.

Supernatural Honored in the “Top 25 Best Sci-Fi Episode Titles”
Any recognition is good right?
The SFX folks have named “Criss Angel is A Douchebag” as one of the Top 25 Best Sci-Fi Episode Titles of all time. I have to admit, it’s a favorite of mine too (title, not the episode) — months and months after hearing it for the first time — it still makes me laugh everytime.

A junk food lover who plays tricks on the self-important to humble them; a commando with super strength; a beautiful woman who makes men offers they can't refuse but will regret for all eternity. Sam and Dean Winchester have confronted a lot of vividly drawn, sometimes humorous and often disturbing villains on Supernatural. But which one stands out as their greatest opponent? BuddyTV fans chose Azazel, the Yellow Eyed Demon.
Azazel began building his resume of horrors from the very first episode of the series, first killing Sam and Dean's mother, Mary, and then Sam's girlfriend, Jessica. He organized the Special Children to lead a war against humanity. He makes deals with people when they're at their most desperate, offering to stop domestic abuse or bring their dead parents back to life, and in exchange he takes their souls. His very arrival causes cattle to die and electrical storms to rage. And he's impervious to holy water and the salt barrier.
Our Supernatural Showdowns poll, which invites users to choose their favorite between two random characters from a series, asked fans to rank Supernatural's best villains. Azazel, Lilith, Alastair and the Trickster were the top vote-getters, with Azazel holding just a lead of just 676 votes.

We're entering week two of The Sourcies, and we have our first winner! Supernatural's Castiel totally smote the competition in the Favorite Newcomer category, reducing everyone else to piles of unrighteous ash. Julian from One Tree Hill put up a bit of a fight, but he was overcome by Castiel's holy wrath. Congratulations, Cas!
Today we open the voting for Best Couple, and we KNOW it's going to be controversial -- in part because of who we chose to go through. First off, we confined it to one couple per show -- we figured that was the only way to make things fair. That means your fave couple may not have made it. Sorry, but there are only so many nominees we could include.
Second, a note to Supernatural fans. You know we adore you. You know some of us ARE you. But here's the thing: Supernatural isn't really a coupley show. It's just not the point. So, we made the executive decision to leave the show out this time around. We know, we know, you hate us for that. Direct all complaints to Sarah -- as the chief SN booster, I'm the one who made the call. The rest of the crew is blameless.
Also, a lot of you nominated Sam and Dean -- they actually got the most nominations in the category! But the boys themselves had something to say about that:
Respecting their wishes, we left them off the list.
With that out of the way... voting for Best Couple is open! The poll closes on July 15, so get to it! And don't forget: There's still time to get in your vote for Best Fight!
